Gangtok, Darjeeling and Pelling Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Bagdogra airport. Report to coach and proceed to Gangtok – the capital and largest town of Sikkim state. Gangtok means ‘Top of Hills’ as the city is located right in the middle of Himalayan range at an elevation of about 1700 mt. It is known for its scenic beauty and striking views of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. Overnight At Gangtok
Day 2
Explore Gangtok by taking a city tour that includes Rumtek Monastery, Shanti view point, Nalanda Institute and Golden Stupa. Visit Dordul Chorten Stupa and Institute of Tibetology. Take a rope way ride to have a panoramic view of the city.Visit The Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom - is a major center for learning and training in the traditional arts and crafts of the state. It showcases unique handicrafts and handloom products created by local artisans. Experience the rich cultural heritage of Sikkim. Later visit Hanuman tok and Ganesh Mandir followed by shopping on the mall road. Overnight At Gangtok
Day 3
Tsomgo Lake also called as Changu Lake (Subject to Military Permissions). The name Tsomgo means “source of Water”. This is one of the few and awesome high altitude lakes in India situated at an altitude of 12300 ft. Changing seasons bring new colors to the lake waters, from sapphire blue in spring time to a dark inky green as winter approaches. We further proceed to visit the temple of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a ‘Hero of Nathula’ who died in 1968 while on duty. Overnight At Gangtok.
Day 4
Start your journey to one more hill station named Pelling to explore the true Sikkimese Heritage. Nestled in the hills of West Sikkim, it is also popular for its natural scenic beauty. En-route visit Chardham temple - the temple which has a replica of all Chardham Temples and the most incredible part is 87 ft statue of Lord Shiva at Namchi, and proceed to visit Buddha Park – a 130-foot high statue of the Buddha. Later in the evening arrive at Pelling.Overnight at pelling
Day 5
Today visit today visit Sky walk & Buddhist statue - also known as Chenrezig Statue is one of the world's tallest statues of Buddha. Take a stop at Rimbi falls and then proceed to Kanchanjunga Waterfall. It is one of the largest waterfalls in Sikkim and among the prime Pelling Tourist Places. It is believed that the pristine waterfall originates high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga, the 3rd highest peak in the world. En-route visit Khecheopalri Lake, a wish fulfilling lake is sacred for both Hindus and Buddhists. Also visit Pemayangtse Monastery. In the evening enjoy the local folk dance overnight At pelling
Day 6
Today proceed to Darjeeling – Queen of the Hills famous for its natural beauty, panoramic mountains, ancient forest and more. Arrive in Darjeeling, noted for its tea industry and also for the great views of the world’s third-highest Mountain Kanchenjunga. Overnight At Pelling.
Day 7
Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) Enjoy the Mountaineering Documentary Show (Subject to operations). HMI has an international reputation and has trained thousands of people from across the globe in mountaineering. Take a stop by Zoological Park, Tensing Rock. Evening Free time for shopping. Overnight At Darjeeling.
Day 8
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to enjoy sunrise on the Kanchanjunga Ranges followed by Batasia loop – created in 1919 as an engineering requirement for the toy train to be able to handle a steep gradient. Later visit the Peace Pagoda and Japanese Temple. Later Proceed to visit One of the famous tea garden location in Darjeeling ‘’North Tukvar Tea Estate’’ Overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 9
After Breakfast Proceed to Bagdogra. Board the flight to your home town. Tour Concludes.

  • Any extra expenses incurred for changing the route due to any unforeseen circumstances, forced majuire instances, natural calamities, political disturbances, strikes etc.
