On the second day, begin your day with a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel before venturing out to see the area's famed forts and lakes. Pay Jaswant Thada a visit. If you're interested in geography, a visit to Jaisalmer is a must. The Wood Fossil Park, also known as Aakal, is around 15 kilometers from the city. It is possible to find and monitor geologic disasters that occurred 180 million years ago in the Thar Desert. Jaisalmer also serves as a watchtower for the deserts of western Rajasthan (and India).
